How much does a website cost in the UK?

What is included in the price?

Every site comes with a phone-first design, testing to WCAG 2.2 AA (the level UK public bodies must meet, and the safest benchmark under the Equality Act), cookie consent and a privacy notice set up for UK GDPR and the 2026 cookie rules, Core Web Vitals targets in the contract, GA4 and enquiry tracking, on-page SEO, and full ownership of your domain, code and content. Copywriting, extra languages and features such as online booking are priced in the calculator.

Do I still need a cookie banner in the UK in 2026?

Usually, yes, but it can be lighter. Since 5 February 2026 the Data (Use and Access) Act lets you run cookies used only for statistics without prior consent, provided you tell visitors and give them a free way to opt out. Advertising and most third-party tracking still need consent. We set up both correctly and connect them to Google Consent Mode v2.

Does the Equality Act apply to my website?

If you provide services to the public, the Equality Act 2010 expects reasonable adjustments for disabled people, and that covers your website. It does not name a WCAG level for private businesses, but WCAG 2.2 AA is what UK public bodies must meet and is the safest benchmark. We build to it by default.

How long does a UK website project take?

Most bespoke sites of 6 to 15 pages launch four to five weeks after you approve the proposal, and small sites of up to five pages in two to three. Online stores take four to six weeks, redesigns four to seven, and a single landing page three to five working days. You receive a dated plan in week one and the launch date goes into the contract.
