Four reasons Australian websites lose enquiries.

Each one is common, measurable and fixable. Here is what goes wrong, and exactly what we do about it.

01The problem

Slow, fiddly pages lose mobile customers

Australians look up tradies, clinics and shops on their phones, often on the move. If the page stalls or the button is hard to hit, they head back to Google and tap the next result.

48% of websites passed Google's Core Web Vitals on mobile in July 2025, compared with 56% on desktop Source: HTTP Archive Web Almanac 2025
How we fix it

A fast site designed for the phone first

  • Layouts designed for a thumb on a small screen, then widened for desktop
  • Core Web Vitals targets in your contract, tested before go-live
  • Tap-to-call, directions and a short quote form where buyers expect them
02The problem

Customers can't find you on Google, Maps or AI

Buyers now ask ChatGPT and read Google's AI answers as well as scrolling the map. If your business is thin, inconsistent or missing in those places, the job goes to a competitor who shows up.

58% of Australians aged 14+ used AI tools such as ChatGPT in an average four weeks of early 2026; ChatGPT alone reached 45% Source: Roy Morgan, AI tools usage, March quarter 2026
How we fix it

Be found in search, on Maps and in AI answers

  • SEO built around the services and suburbs your customers search
  • A complete Google Business Profile and local pages for each area you serve
  • Clear, structured content that AI assistants can quote accurately
03The problem

Visitors look around, but the enquiries never arrive

A page that hides how pricing works, a form with twelve fields, or a reply that lands the next afternoon all cost you jobs. Most of these leaks can be fixed without paying for more traffic.

How we fix it

Turn more visitors into enquiries

  • Pages that answer cost, timing and proof before doubt sets in
  • Short forms with Spam Act-ready opt-ins
  • Instant lead alerts and auto-replies, so nobody is left waiting
04The problem

Privacy and accessibility gaps are a legal risk

The Disability Discrimination Act covers business websites, and the Privacy Act changes again on 10 December 2026. A site built without either in mind can turn one complaint into a costly rebuild.

Straight answers

Questions Australian businesses ask.

How much does a website cost in Australia?

Our websites start at A$450 for up to five pages and online stores at A$950, while a bespoke 6 to 15 page site usually costs A$850 to A$1,050. For comparison, Whatsthedamage's October 2026 guide puts a custom build at $6,000 to $15,000. Price your scope with the calculator, and we confirm a fixed figure in Australian dollars, in writing, with the GST treatment stated.

What is included in the price?

Each site includes mobile-first design, accessibility tested to WCAG 2.2 AA with the Disability Discrimination Act in mind, Core Web Vitals targets in the contract, a privacy setup that fits the Privacy Act and the 10 December 2026 changes, Spam Act-ready sign-up forms, GA4 and conversion tracking, and on-page SEO. You own the domain, code and content. Copywriting, extra languages and booking or portal features are priced in the calculator.

Does the Disability Discrimination Act apply to a private business website?

Yes. The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 covers both the public and private sectors, and the Australian Human Rights Commission's advisory notes apply it to any website developed in Australia or hosted on an Australian server. The Act names no WCAG version. The Commission's notes endorse WCAG 2.0 AA and government sites moved to WCAG 2.2 under the Digital Experience Policy in 2024, so we build to WCAG 2.2 AA.

What changes for privacy policies on 10 December 2026?

From that date, new Australian Privacy Principle 1.7 requires privacy policies to disclose automated decisions that use personal information. It follows the statutory tort for serious invasions of privacy, which started on 10 June 2025. The Privacy Act generally applies once annual turnover passes $3 million. We map what your site and systems do with personal data and draft the disclosure for your adviser to approve.

Can website sign-ups feed straight into our email marketing?

Yes, if consent is collected properly. The Spam Act 2003 requires consent, clear sender identification and an unsubscribe that is honoured within five working days. We use unticked opt-in boxes, record when and where each person agreed, and pass unsubscribes to your email platform automatically.

Do prices on our site have to include GST and fees?

If you show a price, the Australian Consumer Law expects a single total that includes taxes and any unavoidable fees. The ACCC treats drip pricing, where charges appear later in the process, as misleading. We design product, booking and quote pages so the first price a buyer sees already includes everything they cannot avoid.
