Sound familiar?

Four reasons Qatar websites lose customers.

Each one is common, measurable and fixable. Here is what goes wrong, and exactly what we do about it.

01The problem

Your website lets buyers down on their phones

Buyers in Doha usually check a supplier on a phone first. A slow page, a fiddly form or an Arabic version that breaks on a small screen sends them straight back to the search results.

How we fix it

A quick, phone-first site in Arabic and English

  • Phone-first layouts, with Arabic built right to left rather than mirrored
  • Core Web Vitals speed targets set in the contract
  • A clear next step on each page, from a quote request to a booking
02The problem

Buyers search Google and land on someone else

Qatar's buyers start their search on Google. If your business is missing from the first page, the map results or the AI summaries for what you sell, the enquiry goes to whoever is there instead.

How we fix it

Show up where Qatar buyers search

  • SEO for the Arabic and English terms your buyers actually use
  • Pages structured so AI answers can find, read and cite them
  • Google Ads measured on enquiries, with every click traced to a result
03The problem

People visit, but few of them enquire

Visitors leave quietly when a page skips the facts they need, the form asks for too much, or a reply takes days. Each of those gaps sends a ready buyer to a competitor.

How we fix it

Convert more visits into real enquiries

  • Proof and answers placed exactly where buyers hesitate
  • Short forms in Arabic and English that ask only what you need
  • Automatic replies and lead alerts the moment an enquiry lands
04The problem

Careless data handling is a legal risk

Qatar's personal data law covers the details your forms, bookings and analytics collect. It requires consent before electronic direct marketing, and a parent's consent where a site processes children's data.

How we fix it

Privacy built into every form, at no extra cost

  • Forms that collect only what you use, with clear consent for marketing
  • A privacy notice and written data map ready for your legal adviser
  • Accessibility tested to WCAG 2.2 AA in Arabic and English
The Qatar market

A busier register, a compact capital.

Qatar's Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued almost 28,000 commercial registrations in 2025, up 57%, and 34,500 commercial licences, up 53%. At the 2020 census, Doha municipality alone held 1,186,023 of Qatar's 2,846,118 residents, more than four in ten.

We design Qatar sites for that first impression: an Arabic version with its own right-to-left layout, English copy written for international buyers, and enquiry forms that work in either language. Doha's startup scene, ranked eighth in MENA by Startup Genome with an ecosystem value of $858m, adds AI, fintech and healthtech firms that need sites ready for investors as well as customers.

Straight answers

Questions Qatar businesses ask.

How much does a website cost in Qatar?

Websites start at QAR 1,000 for up to five pages and online stores at QAR 2,000, while a bespoke 6 to 15 page build usually costs QAR 1,800 to QAR 2,250. An Arabic version is added in the calculator as a second language, so you can see exactly what it adds. Compare quotes on scope as well as price; we confirm a fixed price in Qatari riyals, in writing.

What is included in the price?

You get phone-first design, accessibility tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, Core Web Vitals targets in the contract, GA4 and conversion tracking, and on-page SEO foundations. Forms, consent wording and the privacy notice are set up with Qatar's personal data law, Law No. 13 of 2016, in mind, and the domain, code and content are registered to you. An Arabic version, copywriting and extras such as online booking are priced separately in the calculator.

Do we need an Arabic version of our Doha website?

For most Qatar businesses we recommend it. Arabic is Qatar's official language, and buyers notice quickly when one language is thin or machine-translated. We design both from the first wireframe, with a proper right-to-left Arabic layout rather than a mirrored copy of the English.

Does Qatar have a data protection law that affects our site?

Yes. Law No. 13 of 2016 protects personal data, and the National Cyber Security Agency acts as the competent authority. We do not give legal advice on its detail, but we build every site so your adviser can check it easily: forms that ask only for what you use, a clear privacy notice and a written record of where data goes.

Can the SMEs Go Digital Programme help pay for our website?

Treat it as matchmaking rather than funding. MCIT runs it with MoCI and QDB, connecting SMEs with approved providers of digital presence, e-commerce and cloud services, and we have not seen a published subsidy amount. Check eligibility and terms with the programme directly; we can give you a scoped quote to compare.

Can you build for a QSTP or QFC startup?

Yes. Startup Genome ranks Doha eighth in MENA, with an ecosystem value of $858m, and its startups include AI, fintech and healthtech firms. We launch a focused product site quickly, with demo and investor pages, then improve it as your traction grows.
