Sound familiar?

Four reasons Luxembourg websites lose customers.

Each one is common, measurable and fixable. Here is what goes wrong, and exactly what we do about it.

01The problem

Your site is hard work on a phone

Many buyers first find you on a phone, some of them on the way in from across the border. A slow page or a fiddly language switcher ends the visit before it starts.

48% of mobile sites met Google's Core Web Vitals thresholds in the July 2025 HTTP Archive data, leaving most of them short of the mark Source: HTTP Archive Web Almanac 2025
How we fix it

Fast on every phone, in every language

  • Mobile-first layouts with a language switcher that keeps visitors on the same page
  • Core Web Vitals targets in the contract, tested on each language version
  • A clear next step on every page: enquire, book or request a quote
02The problem

Buyers search in their own language and find someone else

A French-speaking commuter, a German-speaking manager and an English-speaking finance team each search in the language they know best. If only one version of your site ranks, the other two audiences never see you.

80.86% of searches in Luxembourg ran on Google in September 2026, with Bing on 8.84% Source: StatCounter Global Stats
How we fix it

Get found in English, French and German

  • Separate URLs and hreflang tags so Google serves each reader the right language
  • Titles, descriptions and local SEO written natively in each language
  • Google Ads by language, measured on real enquiries
03The problem

Visitors arrive, but the enquiry never comes

A thin language version, a form that only speaks English or a slow first reply each cost you buyers who were ready to commit.

How we fix it

Turn more visitors into enquiries, in any language

  • Forms, confirmations and error messages in every language the site uses
  • Pages that show proof and next steps before doubt sets in
  • Instant lead alerts and follow-up emails, so no enquiry waits
04The problem

Accessibility and privacy have to hold in every language

Luxembourg's accessibility law covers e-commerce, and OSAPS takes complaints from individuals and associations. GDPR applies to every form and cookie. A consent banner or accessibility statement in one language only does half the job.

How we fix it

Compliance built into every language version

  • Each language version tested to WCAG 2.2 AA with keyboard and screen reader
  • An accessibility statement and feedback route in every language
  • Consent banner and privacy notice in each language, with reject as easy as accept
The Luxembourg market

Three languages, one shortlist.

Luxembourg City has 137,696 residents, and 69.48% of them are foreign nationals, representing 168 nationalities. Around 65,000 more cross the border into the capital each day. Across the country, roughly 45,000 active enterprises employ more than 386,000 people, with 52,913 jobs in construction, 52,849 in trade and 47,396 in finance and insurance.

We build Luxembourg sites with every language as a complete version: its own URLs, hreflang tags so Google serves the right one to the right reader, forms and consent text in that language, and a switcher that keeps visitors on the page they were reading. More than four in five searches in Luxembourg run on Google, so each version is written to rank. Then we track enquiries by language as well as by source, so you can see which audience is buying.

Straight answers

Questions Luxembourg businesses ask.

How much does a website cost in Luxembourg?

Our prices start at €500 for a site of up to five pages and €1,000 for an online store, and a bespoke 6 to 15 page site usually comes to €900 to €1,100. For comparison, Kolonell's October 2026 Luxembourg guide puts a credible multilingual site for a tax advisory boutique at €12,000 to €24,000, and warns that below €7,000 you usually get a generic template. Each extra language is priced in the calculator, and we confirm one fixed price in euros, in writing.

What is included in the price?

Each site includes mobile-first design, testing to WCAG 2.2 AA for the law of 8 March 2023, an accessibility statement, a GDPR consent banner and privacy notice, Core Web Vitals targets in the contract, GA4 and conversion tracking, on-page SEO and full ownership of the domain, code and content. Copywriting, each additional language version and features such as online booking are priced in the calculator.

Does a Luxembourg website need to be in English, French and German?

Usually, if you sell beyond one community. 69.48% of Luxembourg City residents are foreign nationals and around 65,000 people commute in across the border each day, so your buyers rarely share one language. We help you decide which pages need all three, which need two, and which can stay in English, based on who actually enquires.

Does Luxembourg's accessibility law apply to my website?

It may. The law of 8 March 2023 brought the European Accessibility Act into Luxembourg law from 28 June 2025, and e-commerce services are within its scope. OSAPS takes complaints from individuals and associations, not only from inspectors. If you sell to consumers online, treat it as applying and build to WCAG 2.2 AA, which is what we do by default.

Can you build a site for a regulated finance firm?

Yes. Finance and insurance employ 47,396 people in Luxembourg, and their websites usually carry content that compliance needs to approve. We add an approval stage to publishing, keep a dated record of every change, and make sure disclosures say the same thing in English, French and German.

Will our French and German pages rank as well as the English ones?

They can, if each is built as a real page rather than a translation layer. Google handled 80.86% of searches in Luxembourg in September 2026, and it relies on separate URLs and hreflang tags to show each visitor the right language. We set both up, write titles and descriptions natively in each language, and check Search Console per language after launch.

Do you have a Luxembourg office?

No. We work with Luxembourg clients remotely, with weekly staging links and a shared board. Nothing in the process depends on a shared building: drafts, decisions and approvals all live in writing.
