Analytics & conversion tracking

Know exactly what each channel earns.

Ad platforms now bid automatically on the conversions you send them, and privacy rules decide what you may collect. We build measurement that respects consent, survives browser changes and follows inquiries through to customers, then verify it before anyone relies on it.

Why it matters now

Bad data makes automated bidding expensive.

Measurement rules have changed more in the last three years than in the decade before them.

Jul 2023Universal Analytics stopped processing data, so sites that never moved to GA4 have no current analyticsSource: Google Analytics Help
Mar 2024Google began requiring consent signals (consent mode v2) before data from visitors in the EEA could feed ad audiencesSource: Google Analytics Help

Who it is for

Right for you if this sounds familiar.

  • Businesses that cannot say which channel produced last month's customers
  • Advertisers in the UK and Europe unsure their consent setup is right
  • Teams whose GA4 numbers do not match the CRM or the bank
What you get

Everything it takes to move the number.

Scoped in the proposal and priced before we start. Everything is documented so anyone can maintain it.

01

Measurement plan

The conversions that matter defined in plain English: forms, calls, bookings, sales and qualified leads, with values where possible.

02

GA4 and Tag Manager

Clean GA4 properties, key events and Tag Manager containers, documented so anyone can maintain them.

03

Consent mode v2

A consent banner and consent mode set up for each market, with UK analytics configured under the ICO's 2026 guidance where its conditions are met.

04

Enhanced conversions and CRM import

Hashed first-party data and offline conversion imports, so Google and Microsoft learn which leads became customers.

05

Server-side tagging

A first-party server container where it helps: more control over what data leaves your site, not a way around consent.

06

Dashboard and checks

A simple dashboard of leads and revenue by channel, and a monthly check that every tag still fires.

How it runs

How measurement runs: audit, plan, build, verify.

Nothing goes live until a test conversion has been traced end to end.

Week 1

Audit

Every tag, event, consent setting and data flow checked against what actually happens on the site.

You getAn audit of what is broken, missing or non-compliant.

Week 2

Plan

The conversions, values and reports you need, agreed in a written measurement plan.

You getA measurement plan you sign off.

Weeks 2 to 4

Build

GA4, Tag Manager, consent mode, enhanced conversions, call tracking and CRM imports built.

You getMeasurement built to the plan.

Launch, then monthly

Verify and monitor

Test conversions traced end to end, then tags and data quality rechecked every month.

You getNumbers you can make decisions on.

Straight talk

What we will never promise you.

Plenty of agencies sell certainty they cannot deliver. Here is what the evidence says, and what we will not claim.

Google killed third-party cookies

It did not. In April 2025 Google said Chrome will keep third-party cookies under user choice, and it later retired most Privacy Sandbox technologies. First-party measurement still matters.

Server-side tagging means no consent needed

The UK ICO's exceptions depend on why data is collected, and advertising cookies cannot use any of them. Server-side tagging changes where data goes, not whether consent is needed.

An exact figure for data lost to cookie banners

We found no reliable primary source for a universal number, and Google describes its own examples as illustrative. We measure your consent rate instead.

Straight answers

Questions about analytics & tracking.

Do UK sites still need consent for analytics?

Not always. Under the ICO's final guidance of April 2026, analytics used only for aggregate statistics can run without consent if you give clear information and a free way to object, and any analytics provider acts only as your processor. Advertising cookies still need consent. We check which setup your tools allow.

What is consent mode v2?

Google's way of passing visitors' consent choices to its tags. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google requires valid consent and the ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals before their data can be used for personalized ads and remarketing.

Why don't GA4 and our CRM agree?

Usually a mix of consent choices, duplicate or missing events, spam submissions and leads that convert offline. We reconcile the two and import CRM outcomes, so the platforms learn from real customers.

Do we need server-side tagging?

Not always. It gives you more control over what data leaves your site and lets you send events from your server, which Meta recommends alongside its Pixel. It adds hosting cost and does not replace consent, so we recommend it when your ad spend or data needs justify it.
