Four reasons Swiss websites lose customers.

Each one is common, measurable and fixable. Here is what goes wrong, and exactly what we do about it.

01The problem

Your website falls short on a phone

When a buyer checks you on a phone, a slow or cluttered page ends the visit early, and the firm one result below gets the enquiry instead.

48% of websites had good Core Web Vitals on mobile in the HTTP Archive's July 2025 data, so the majority still miss Google's mark Source: HTTP Archive Web Almanac 2025
How we fix it

Fast pages, designed for mobile first

  • Layouts planned for the phone before the desktop
  • Core Web Vitals targets set in the contract and tested before launch
  • A clear next step on every page, in every language you publish
02The problem

One Swiss search in eight happens on Bing

Most site owners watch Google alone, yet a real share of Swiss buyers search on Bing. If you are missing there, in the map results or in AI answers, those buyers find someone else.

12.11% of Swiss searches ran on Bing in September 2026, with Google on 80.19% Source: StatCounter Global Stats
How we fix it

Get found on Google, Bing and AI search

  • SEO in German, French or English, for the searches your buyers make
  • Sites verified in Bing Webmaster Tools as well as Google Search Console
  • Google Ads and local SEO for each canton and city you serve
03The problem

Buyers visit, compare, and never get in touch

A page that hides the price logic, the proof or the next step leaves a careful buyer without a reason to write. A slow reply loses many of the rest.

7x higher chance of qualifying an online lead when US firms followed up within an hour, according to a Harvard Business Review study Source: Harvard Business Review, 2011
How we fix it

Turn careful visitors into enquiries

  • Pages that answer price, process and proof before the buyer has to ask
  • Short forms in each site language that qualify without deterring
  • Instant confirmations and lead alerts, so no enquiry waits
04The problem

Data protection fines land on people

Under the revised Federal Act on Data Protection, fines are imposed on the responsible individuals, not on the company. The act already covers every contact form, newsletter sign-up and analytics tag on a Swiss site.

Swiss data protection and accessibility, built in

  • A privacy notice that matches what your site really collects
  • Every tracking decision recorded with who approved it and when
  • Testing to WCAG 2.2 AA, ready for the European Accessibility Act if you sell into the EU
The Zurich market

Banks, insurers and AI, in one compact city.

A city of just 452,421 residents, Zurich is home to UBS, Zurich Insurance and Swiss Re, and to a start-up ecosystem worth $44bn that has raised $2.4bn in early-stage funding. Banking, insurance, AI and robotics, life sciences, fintech and IT all chase the same senior buyers and the same engineers.

Those buyers want three answers early: who is behind the firm, what it has done, and how their data will be handled. We build Zurich sites that give them on the first screen, in German and English, with privacy handling built for the revFADP, and track enquiries from Google and from Bing, which carries 12.11% of Swiss searches.

Straight answers

Questions Zurich businesses ask.

How much does a website cost in Zurich?

A Zurich firm can launch a site of up to five pages from CHF 500 or an online shop from CHF 1,050. Bespoke sites of 6 to 15 pages generally cost CHF 900 to CHF 1,200, and a German and English build is priced openly in the calculator. Your written proposal fixes the total in Swiss francs before work begins.

Should a Zurich website be in German, English or both?

For most Zurich firms, both. International teams and investors read English, while many local buyers and suppliers expect German. Switzerland ranks 30th of 123 countries for English proficiency on EF's index, so an English-only site leaves some buyers reading in a second language. We plan which pages need German before we quote.

Can you build a website for a Zurich bank or insurer?

Yes. Banking and insurance are Zurich's best-known sectors, and their sites carry content that compliance must approve. We add an approval stage to the CMS so nothing regulated publishes without sign-off, keep versions of every page so you can show what a client saw on a given date, and write disclosures in plain German and English.

We are an AI start-up in Zurich. What should our website do first?

Win the audiences that decide your next year: buyers and engineers. With $2.4bn of early-stage funding raised in Zurich, investors will visit too, but a clear product story and a working demo route serve all three. We normally start with the homepage, product and careers pages, then build out documentation.

Does Swiss data protection law change how we run analytics?

It changes how carefully you document it. The revFADP has applied since 1 September 2023, and fines of up to CHF 250,000 fall on responsible individuals. We configure analytics to collect only what you use, record who approved each tool, and keep the privacy notice in step with the site.

Do you work with companies outside the centre, in Oerlikon or Glattpark?

Yes, across the whole Zurich area: Zurich West, Altstetten, Oerlikon, Glattpark and beyond. Because we deliver remotely, your postcode makes no difference to the price, the timeline or the people you work with.
