Web design and marketing that grows Cork businesses.

In County Cork, manufacturing and wholesale and retail each engage more than 44,000 people, so many local firms sell to engineers and shoppers at once. Four reasons Irish websites lose customers.

Each one is common, measurable and fixable. Here is what goes wrong, and exactly what we do about it.

01The problem

Your website lets mobile visitors down

Two in three web page views in Ireland now come from a phone. A site that crawls on a rural signal, needs pinching to read or hides the contact details sends those visitors straight back to Google.

67.5% of web page views in Ireland came from mobile phones in September 2026, more than double the desktop share Source: StatCounter Global Stats
How we fix it

A fast website built around the phone

  • Pages designed for a small screen first, then widened for desktop
  • Core Web Vitals targets agreed in the contract and checked on real phones
  • Phone number, Eircode directions and the enquiry form one tap away
02The problem

Buyers ask Google or an AI tool, and you are not in the answer

Irish buyers start on Google, and more of them now ask AI tools as well. If your business is missing from the first page, the map results or the answers those tools give, the enquiry goes to a competitor who does show up.

How we fix it

Show up wherever Irish buyers search

  • SEO built on the terms people in your county actually search
  • A Google Business Profile with your Eircode, hours and reviews kept current
  • Clear, well-sourced pages that AI search can quote, plus Google Ads for quick wins
03The problem

People look around, then leave without making contact

Visitors who cannot find a price guide, a clear next step or proof that you have done this before tend to drift away. Those who do enquire expect a quick answer, and a reply the next afternoon often arrives too late.

How we fix it

Turn visits into enquiries you can act on

  • Pages that settle cost, process and proof questions up front
  • Forms that ask only what you need to reply properly
  • Instant confirmation emails and lead alerts, so every enquiry gets a prompt response
04The problem

Accessibility and consent are now legal duties

Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act has covered online shops and many consumer services in Ireland, and the DPC expects cookie consent to be a real choice, analytics included. A site that blocks keyboard users or nudges everyone to Accept all is now a legal problem.

How we fix it

Accessibility and consent built in, not bolted on

  • Tested to WCAG 2.2 AA with keyboard and screen reader before launch
  • Analytics and ads held back until visitors agree, with Reject as prominent as Accept
  • An accessibility statement and a GDPR privacy notice ready at launch
The Cork market

Two big sectors, neck and neck.

County Cork had 43,139 active enterprises in 2024, and its two largest sectors are almost level: manufacturing engages 44,531 people and wholesale and retail 44,156. That gives Cork two very different buyers. An engineer assessing a supplier wants specifications and certifications, while a shopper wants prices, stock and opening hours on a phone.

We plan each Cork page around the buyer it serves. Technical pages carry data sheets and a quote form that asks the right questions, from Ringaskiddy to Little Island. Consumer pages lead with price, availability and directions, whether you trade on St Patrick's Street or in Mahon. Then we track which audience converts, so budget follows results.

Straight answers

Questions Cork businesses ask.

How much does a website cost in Cork?

A small site of up to five pages starts at €350 and an online store at €700. Manufacturers and firms that need separate trade and consumer routes usually need a bespoke 6 to 15 page site, which typically costs €600 to €800. Use the calculator for your scope, and we confirm a fixed price in euros, in writing.

Can you build a website for a Cork manufacturer?

Yes. Manufacturing is County Cork's largest sector by people engaged, and its buyers behave differently from consumers: they compare specifications, certifications and lead times, often with several colleagues involved. We build capability pages, downloadable data sheets and an RFQ form that captures what your sales team needs to respond.

We sell to trade and to the public. Can one site do both?

It can, if each audience gets its own route. With manufacturing and wholesale and retail almost level in County Cork, it is a common question here. We separate trade and consumer journeys from the first screen, with different buttons, pricing logic and forms for each.

Is my small Cork business exempt from the European Accessibility Act?

Possibly. Service providers with fewer than 10 staff and turnover or a balance sheet total of €2 million or less are treated as microenterprises and exempt. That status ends once headcount reaches ten, so we build to WCAG 2.2 AA anyway rather than leave you a second project later.

Will Cork customers find us on Google Maps and in AI search?

We give you the best chance. We keep your business name, address with Eircode, opening hours and service area consistent across the site and its schema, so Google and AI assistants describe you correctly whether a buyer searches from Douglas or Ballincollig.

Can you work with us remotely from Cork?

Yes. Every project runs on a written brief and proposal, with a shared board and a staging site you can open each week. There is no Cork office, and nothing about the result depends on one.

How long does a Cork website project take?

A bespoke site of 6 to 15 pages goes live four to five weeks after you approve the proposal, and a small site of up to five pages in two to three. Online stores take four to six weeks, and a redesign four to seven. You get a dated plan in the first week, and the launch date is written into the contract.
