Web Design & Marketing Agency in Montreal

Web design and marketing that grows Montreal businesses.

In Montreal your French pages carry legal weight: under Quebec's Charter of the French Language, a commercial website may offer English only if its French version is available on terms at least as favourable. We build and market bilingual sites for Montreal businesses at fixed prices in Canadian dollars, with written replies within one working day.

Four reasons Canadian websites lose customers.

Each one is common, measurable and fixable. Here is what goes wrong, and exactly what we do about it.

01The problem

Your site loses buyers on their phones

Canadian buyers check suppliers on a phone between jobs, on transit or from the truck. A page that loads slowly or hides the next step sends them back to the results, and the next name on the list gets the inquiry.

How we fix it

A quick, phone-first site with the next step in reach

  • Designed for small screens first, then scaled up for desktop
  • Core Web Vitals targets written into your contract and checked before launch
  • Click-to-call, directions and a short quote form on every key page
02The problem

Buyers search, and find a competitor first

Canadians look for suppliers on Google, on Maps and, more and more, in AI assistants. If your business is missing, thin or inconsistent in any of them, the inquiry goes to whoever is easier to find.

46% of Canadians used a generative AI tool in the past year, up from 16% in 2024, and search was the most common use Source: CIRA, Canadian Internet Trends 2026
How we fix it

Show up in Google, Bing, Maps and AI answers

  • SEO for the searches your buyers type, in English and in French where you need it
  • Google Business Profile and local pages for each city you serve
  • Bing Webmaster Tools set up too, since Bing handles about one Canadian search in ten
03The problem

Traffic arrives, but the inquiries do not

Visitors leave when a page cannot answer their question, the form wants too much, or the reply takes two days. Most of those leaks can be fixed on the site itself, without buying more traffic.

How we fix it

Turn more visits into qualified inquiries

  • Pages that answer price, timing and proof before the buyer has to ask
  • Short forms with consent wording that meets CASL
  • Instant alerts and auto-replies, so every lead hears back fast
04The problem

Provincial rules can turn a website into a liability

Quebec expects commercial websites in French and enforces its own privacy law, Law 25. Ontario sets accessibility duties under AODA, and CASL governs the emails your forms lead to. A site built without them can cost far more than it saved.

How we fix it

French, privacy and accessibility built in

  • Tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, which builds on the WCAG 2.0 AA level AODA sets
  • French pages available on terms at least as favourable as the English, where Quebec is in scope
  • Consent, lean forms and privacy notices set up for Law 25, PIPEDA and CASL
The Montreal market

Two languages, on equal footing.

Greater Montreal has nearly 4.6 million people and an economy built on specialist sectors: it is the world's third-largest aerospace hub, and Mila brings together more than 1,400 machine learning researchers. Selling here means selling in French. English can sit alongside, but only next to a French version that is just as available, and Law 25 adds administrative penalties of up to C$10 million or 2% of worldwide turnover.

We build Montreal sites bilingual from the first sitemap. French and English pages launch together at the same depth, with the French version just as easy to reach, fr-CA and en-CA hreflang, consent text in both languages and analytics that wait for a yes. Inquiries are tracked by language as well as source, so you can see which audience pays.

Straight answers

Questions Montreal businesses ask.

How much does a website cost in Montreal?

Working in two languages is the main cost driver here. Our sites start at C$500 for up to five pages and C$1,000 for an online store, and a bespoke 6 to 15 page site usually comes to C$900 to C$1,100; the second language is priced in the calculator. You get one fixed price in Canadian dollars, in writing, before any work begins.

Does our Montreal website have to be in French?

Yes, if it is the commercial website of a business operating in Quebec. The Charter of the French Language requires commercial publications, websites included, to be in French. You can add English, but only if the French version is available on terms at least as favourable. Fines for businesses run from C$3,000 to C$30,000 per offence, and each day a breach continues counts separately.

Can we launch in English first and add French later?

We advise against it. A Quebec commercial site without its French version is out of step with the Charter from the day it goes live, and in 2022 a company was fined because its French pages were harder to reach than its English ones. We plan the two versions together and launch them on the same day.

What does Law 25 change for our contact forms and analytics?

Law 25 raised the stakes: since September 22, 2023, administrative penalties can reach C$10 million or 2% of worldwide turnover. We build forms that collect only what you need, explain in French and English how the data will be used, and keep analytics and advertising tags off until a visitor agrees.

Can you build for aerospace suppliers?

Yes. Montreal is the third-largest aerospace hub in the world, and supplier sites are judged by engineers and buyers who want facts fast: certifications, capabilities, capacity and a contact who can answer technical questions. We structure the site around that checklist, in both languages.

Do you work with AI startups around Mila?

Yes. With more than 1,400 machine learning researchers at Mila, the research is rarely the weak point for a Montreal AI company; the explanation is. We help turn it into a clear offer: who it is for, what it does, and why your team can deliver it.

Will our French pages rank as well as the English ones?

They should, if they are built properly. We give each language its own URLs, link them with fr-CA and en-CA hreflang tags, write French titles and descriptions rather than translating keywords word for word, and check both versions in Search Console after launch.
